NIHRA Volunteer Leadership Interest Form
We encourage anyone interested in volunteering with NIHRA to get involved. Board applicants must complete this form. Committee volunteers are welcome to complete it but are not required to do so. Please see a current NIHRA Board member for volunteer opportunities.
Serving on the NIHRA Board is an opportunity to help shape the future of our chapter, support the HR profession, and give back to our community. Board members are expected to actively participate by attending the majority of monthly membership luncheons, monthly Board of Directors meetings, and the annual NIHRA Conference. Time commitments vary by position and time of year but generally range from 2–10 hours per week. Responsibilities may include committee work, event planning, member engagement, sponsor relations, communications, or other initiatives that support the chapter. We understand our board members have busy professional and personal lives, but we ask each volunteer to make a commitment to actively contribute to the success of NIHRA. Please see the NIHRA By-laws for more information on board requirements.
Serving on a NIHRA volunteer committee is a great way to get involved, build relationships, and contribute to the success of our chapter without the commitment of board service. Most committees meet monthly or quarterly, with participation varying based on the committee's focus and the time of year. Some committees are busier leading up to events or initiatives, while others require only occasional involvement.
Committee members are encouraged to actively participate, share ideas, and support the committee's goals. It's a flexible way to make an impact while giving back to the HR profession and our community.
